I received this from the "editor@fidonews.org" e-mail address. I thought it only right that it be included in the Fidonews. As many will remember, Doug Myers was a former Fidonews Editor that passed away while still editor. He was respected and liked by all.

I just recently learned of your web site through my brother, Ross. I am the sister of Doug Myers who once edited fidonet. I always appreciated Doug's humor and his creativity, but had no idea he was loved by so many people. I too loved him dearly, and cried when I read your beautiful tributes to him, as well as his poem. He touched everyone right in the heart. Thank you all for being such an important part of his life. In his last days, I spent alot of time with him, being a nurse, I felt i could help. He taught me, that just being his sister helped even more!! He loved people, and fidonet was a way to communicate and share himself with you all. God bless and keep you all well,, sincerely, shannon, dougs sister
