Hello,

With the announcement yesterday that Ross Cassell, Bob Juge, major z1b Tier 1 hubs, and Steve Loupe, a major z1b Tier 2 hub, are meshing with Bob Seaborn and Brenda Donovan, NAB ZHubs, creating a new, revitalized North American Backbone, we ask that you work with us to help eliminate any legacy left by the now-departed Southern Star, which appeared to promote separatism and antagonism.

Let's not delve into the why's and wherefore's of all this, just suffice it to say that we, the new revitalized NAB are asking your help to eliminate any of the "we are better than you" attitude that was prevalent over the past couple of years.

There's been far too much petty bickering, name-calling and mud- slinging since the NAB/z1b break took place. This divisiveness must stop - we're all in this hobby together to achieve a common goal. We feel this change will move us a giant step closer to reaching it.

This change should benefit every node in Fidonet - especially in light of the constant attrition we're seeing in zone 1 of Fidonet. Fidonet definitely does NOT need continuation of what went on over the past few years, nobody wins, everybody loses.
