Here in the U.S.A., it's about to be Thanksgiving Day [Thursday, 27 Nov] when we get together with family and food to celebrate the fact we're still alive and eating. [snicker]

Turkeys are the primary victims of our carnivorous tendencies but it varies from place to place and sub-culture to sub-culture. Hams, pork roasts, beef roasts, vegetarian fare, and all sorts of other comestibles made only once or twice a year can come to the fore. At my house, there'll be plenty of the top two [turkey & ham] along with tons of accouterment and then the major dessert table covered with pies of every description.

In FidoNet, we can only eat our words while looking at ASCII pictures of traditional symbols.

Following in the footsteps of last week's cyberHugs, let's give thanks to everyone who works, without reward, to make FidoNet function every day.

Thanks, to ALL Coordinators. Thanks, to all mail hubs. Thanks, to all file movers. Thanks, to all the software authors. Thanks, to all HelpNodes. Thanks, to ALL Sysops who make this the first and largest amateur electronic communication network in the world.

Cooperation...What a concept!
