Hello Christopher,

I thought you and anyone else taking this echo might be interested in another echo recently backboned in the UK, FREE2000 is an echo for those wishing to discus Fidonet and its progress, into the next millennium, and participating posters in that echo have joined together to design and operate a WWW site [not yet up and running]. FREE2000 is open to nodes, points and BBS users equally and everyone is welcome.

In order to promote Fidonet on the WWW, providing access to programs and faqs etc to enable new Fidonetters or those more used to the Internet & WWW to access Fidonet as users or points..

It's hoped that establishing a presence on the WWW may encourage Webbers and Internetters to join Fidonet, since all are part of the global communications arena.

I'm therefore quite chuffed to see FidoNews is going to be visible on the WWW as well.:-) I don't use either the WWW or Internet myself [apart from e-mail], so can't visit your site, but I will let others know of its existence:-)
